This short film traces what got us here. Flexible IT started in 1984 fixing computers and printers, and grew into a holistic technology partner for Long Island companies. Co-founders Joe Saggio and Seth Belous built the business around a simple idea: take care of your people first, and they will take care of your clients.
Joe and Seth reflect on the founding philosophy and where the team stands today. Colleagues across the company speak to the autonomy, cross-team collaboration, and pride in client outcomes that have kept people here for nearly two decades. One team member notes that the culture is part of why they have stayed for 19 years.
Today the team is close to 130 strong. From our headquarters at the Long Island Innovation Park at Hauppauge, we support Long Island businesses with managed IT support, cybersecurity, compliance, technology planning, and technology advisory services, all under the Effortless IT umbrella.
This recognition belongs to every employee, every client, and the broader Long Island business community that has trusted us for more than four decades.

When we first started Flexible IT, we would repair a computer, we would repair a printer, and that was like our role, fixing things. And then we started to really look at the business holistically.
We thought there was an opportunity to start a business helping people use technology to improve the business. How can we improve the communications? How can we improve the workflow? It’s being able to help others be more productive. It really helps small businesses to grow.
So culture is really the foundation of what our company is all about. That culture has been here as long as I’ve been here, for 19 years. It’s part of why I’ve been here for so long.
You’re allowed to collaborate with others in different departments that you wouldn’t normally be able to do at other companies. A lot of it comes from the autonomy and the learning experience that you could have here.
Seth and Joe prioritize the employees. If you treat your employees really well, they’ll treat your clients really well, and then the company will be profitable.
Having the best employees and having happy employees and having a very healthy culture is something that’s really important to us, because that’s who our clients interface with.
We really care about our clients. We like to help them and make sure that they’re getting the best technical care as well as consulting care that they need.
I’m really proud of where we are. We have a really good team. What Joe and Seth built is what makes this company what it is today and what it’ll be in the future.
The future is bright for Flexible IT. We have close to 130 employees now. We probably have our strongest team ever.
We know that we’ve been an important part of a lot of people’s lives, and we also know we’ve been an important part of a lot of our clients’ businesses being successful, achieving what they’ve achieved, growing the way they’ve grown. And we feel really proud of that.
