The park is 11 square miles. It is the second largest industrial park in the United States of America.
Largest industrial park east of the Mississippi River.
55,000 employees, 1,300 companies, and economic output of probably about $13 billion.
We have 58 tradable industries coming out of that park. The national average is only 36. There is over 50,000 people that work in the industrial park.
And we have tremendous exposure with customers that are looking for our services as they are driving by. They notice the building, they see the trucks coming in and out.
Stony Brook University, Brookhaven National Lab, Cold Spring Harbor, the Feinstein Institute just bring us a wealth of information, both technically as well as just higher education.
What is the number one thing that every business owner in there needs? And that is talent.
And so we have been working really hard to make sure that the businesses in the park have a pipeline to the talent coming out of the universities, and the universities have a direct pipeline into the jobs that are available in the park.
There are very talented mechanics, supervisors, and chemists who really help us drive the business, as well as facilities and the infrastructure.
Reliable electric, water, and the sewer system, which is critical to running this business. The beauty of the Hauppauge Industrial Park is it is built for industry.
And so it has the infrastructure and the support that is needed. The roads are wide and capable of letting trucks get in and out.
There are support systems here between banks, shops, restaurants, you know, whatever you would need to basically keep the people in your organization happy.
