Most Long Island businesses are small to mid-sized — often around 50 users in size — and don't have the budget or need for a full on-site IT department. When you look at Long Island and you look at the types of businesses on Long Island, most of them are small to mid-sized businesses. Most are around the 50-user size — meaning the number of people in the office. Usually those types of companies don't have an on-site IT person.
For us, we find that the Long Island community is perfect for the managed services that we offer. They embrace it, they understand it. That's really why Long Island is a perfect place to do this kind of business.
In addition, there are a number of organizations on Long Island that have one or two IT people on staff. In those cases, we can really help those organizations — they don't necessarily have the depth or breadth of experience that we have. We've seen lots of things.
Most times we find that IT people in a mid-sized organization have been there for a very long time. They only know their own network, and they can really benefit from partnering with a company like us to show them other ways to do things and other opportunities in technology.
