It feels like only yesterday we were celebrating 41 years. Somehow, another year has already passed.
Today, Flexible IT turns 42.
Every anniversary is a chance to reflect. And this year reminded us that growth is rarely measured by one thing. It shows up in the challenges you get through, the lessons you learn, and the relationships you build along the way.
This past year brought plenty to be proud of. We reached goals we set for ourselves, celebrated meaningful milestones, launched new initiatives, and kept investing in the future of our company. We even built our own internal support software from the ground up, something our team is incredibly proud of.
At the same time, our industry went through one of the biggest shifts in decades. Artificial intelligence went from something businesses talked about to something they now use every day. Like every major technology transition before it, we chose to embrace it early so we could help our clients navigate it with confidence.
But this year wasn’t defined only by progress.
We also experienced loss. We said goodbye to colleagues who meant the world to us. People whose work, mentorship, and friendship helped shape Flexible IT into the company it is today.
We’re also grateful for every person who joined Flexible IT this past year. Every new hire brings fresh ideas, new perspectives, and new energy. They are helping write the next chapter of our story.
As we celebrate today, it’s impossible not to think about where it all began.
Forty-two years ago, Seth Belous, Joseph D. Saggio, and Marty Schmitt started Flexible IT around Joe’s kitchen table. What began as a small idea grew one client at a time, one relationship at a time, into the company we have the privilege of being part of today.
Forty-two years doesn’t happen by accident.
It happens because of thousands of decisions made the right way. It happens because people choose to care about their work. It happens because clients place their trust in you year after year. It happens because employees give their time, their talent, and a piece of themselves to build something bigger than any one person.
To every employee who has ever worked here, whether you stayed for six months, twenty years, or even 30 plus, thank you. You helped shape Flexible IT.
To every client who trusted us with your business, thank you. You gave us the chance to grow alongside you, and every conversation, every project, and every partnership became part of our story.
We’re also proud that, alongside everything we do in technology, we continued running Flexible Arena as a not-for-profit community initiative. Seeing people come together around hockey and giving back to Long Island remains one of the most rewarding things we do outside the office.
Looking back over 42 years, one thing stands out above everything else.
Technology has changed beyond recognition.
The people have always mattered most.
